The new 15 inch Gold Reference driver is TANNOY's most powerful and articulated to date, boasting an incredible 600 watts peak power and over 96 dB efficiency in the 235 liter Canterbury GR cabinet.
The legendary 15-inch Dual has been extensively upgraded for the Gold Reference series, with many of the improvements being the 'trickle-down' technology from TANNOY's flagship Kingdom Royal development project. The cone is finished with a double rolled edge of impregnated fabric for improved cushioning properties. The Canterbury GR's HF unit marks a significant leap forward in technology and performance, consisting of a new aluminum-magnesium alloy compression control diaphragm that has been heat treated to further improve mechanical integrity under HF loads. The use of new Mylar surround materials provides improved damping and motor cooling, resulting in exceptional clarity and articulation throughout the HF range. The Gold Reference Dual can listen at high volume without fatigue and gives the TANNOY Canterbury loudspeaker even more naturalness and presence.
